Wendy Wendy grew up on a farm. Her mother raised and trained working service dogs, and they always had a large variety of animals from cows and horses to ducks, geese, chickens and turkeys. And all the stray animals Wendy rescued and brought home! Caring for animals has always been a central focus in her life. As an adult, Wendy's love for animals was her inspiration to become a veterinary technician. Along the way, Wendy fell in love with Great Danes and was incredibly blessed when she got her very own Great Dane, Bernard. They were best friends and completely inseparable, until one tragic day when Bernard was stolen from her home. For eight very long, bleak months he was gone. But thanks to the wonders of microchip technology, he was found, and Wendy received a phone call on her birthday telling her that Bernard had been located. With Bernard back, Wendy decided that she wanted to spend every day of the remainder of his life with him. So, it was with that in mind that she started her own pet care service, which has led her down a wonderful path to founding Bark Avenue. Wendy truly loves what she does, and each of her client's pets is treated as though they were her own.
